You're so right!

I'm a feminist, but sexual dimorphism is a fact. And in competitive sports, the strongest, fastest woman may be stronger and faster than 99% of men, but if she's competing against the strongest and fastest man, she will lose. So if it was a mixed gender competition, why would women even TRY to compete? The amount of women competing in sport would diminish to almost 0. And they would be in sports where being female has an advantage, like gymnastics, figure skating etc.

So many amazing female athletes would never have become the icons they are today had they been competing against men. Serena Williams for example, is the GOAT in women's tennis, but would she beat Federer, Nadal or Djokovic (at least enough times to win male Grand Slams and be considered the GOAT in tennis overall?) I doubt it. Not a slight on her btw, because she is amazing.
