You know, I don’t actually know many women who view men as a walking wallet. In fact, I don’t know any. It could be a trope that’s similar to the trope that “men only want women for sex” “women only want men for money”. I have never once considered a man more or less attractive due to the amount of money he makes.

I’m not denying there is a cultural narrative around it, but I don’t know how many real life women actually feel that way, at least in Western cultures.
