Yeah like people think "ask the universe" as either a nebulous concept of a spiritual ether, or they think of the cosmos with stars. But everything is the universe. Other people are the universe. Trees and animals are the universe. Why wouldn't you communicate with it using language, words and action rather than just thought? :D
