Yeah I have a friend who is rich. She lives in a beautiful home overlooking Sydney Harbour in the Lower North Shore, easily worth $6 million. Her husband makes $500k/year as a managing director. She works a few days a week as an educator for special needs kids.
I have babysat their son for almost 10 years, and have become like a family member to them. One time I mentioned to the son off-hand that his family is rich.
His mother came back with "we're not rich, we're comfortable".
No lovely, you're rich. That is not a bad thing. But you should acknowledge that you are that privileged so that you don't think your experiences are the same as the majority of people in the country.
