Wowwww. It’s CLEAR that Jim was feeling homosexual urges and couldn’t accept himself as gay due to the religious teachings against it (poor guy) and so tried to channel his feelings into a love (lust) for Jesus and a passionate, intimate friendship with Billy. What a thwarted waste of potential.

There is nothing AT ALL shameful about sexual desire. It’s sad that all these Christians laboured under the belief that their natural biological feelings were wrong and impure.
