What if they are disabled or have some kind of condition that would prevent them earning money?

In my relationship I am the breadwinner and my partner isn't making any money at this time. But there are reasons why that is. However I get a LOT from the partnership and he supports me in other ways.

Like I don't like the idea that I am "not having standards" by not being in a relationship with someone who is independently financially stable atm. I make choices based on what I value in life. Which is valid for me.
