Well said!

I am young, but when I think about my future, I never want to "retire" in the normal sense. I want to not have to worry about doing things for money, but I will still do things because they interest me and give life meaning.

I currently work a corporate job but when I think about "retiring" from that job, I think about:

- doing a masters in psychology and becoming a therapist

- writing both fiction and non-fiction books

- creating an off-grid permaculture farm

- becoming a master painter

- becoming a shaman

- getting involved in grassroots community building endeavours

- being a Renaissance woman

- becoming a fashion designer (learning to sew as well)

- being a motivational speaker/lifecoach

- contributing something to the world's understanding of consciousness

These are all things I've thought of now - I'm sure I'll have even more throughout my life too. Life is all about curiosity, growth and creation - if you lose those things then there's no point to it.

My grandparents on my Dad's side are in their eighties. My granddad completed a PhD at the age of 80. He also goes on long cycles with his best friend of 70+ years around the countryside, and as such is very fit and healthy. My grandmother still teaches art at her local public school. She doesn't have to, she just enjoys it. She also publishes children's books. That's the kind of old person I want to be one day.
