We all know who this is about. Umair/Eudomia. Every. Single. Article. is about the end of the world/America/civilisation.

It's not that he doesn't have some good points, but if it's a relentless barrage of despair, there's nothing to glean except "we're all fucked so might as well not try, not fall in love, not have a job, not try and build a future". It doesn't have the effect I'm sure he wants, which is to galvanise action. Instead it creates apathy OR hedonism.

Because if the world is irrefutably fucked and nothing an individual can do will stop it, might as well enjoy what time we have left right?

But that attitude is part of the problem.
