This would explain why video footage of a riot in June showed police firing rubber bullets at peaceful protesters, while in another street more police stopped traffic and waved looters carrying stolen goods to cross safely, because the looters primarily destroyed black owned businesses, and harmed the POOR, and so it served the status quo for the police to let it happen while focusing their ire on the peaceful protesters.
