This isn't true actually. I have orgasms that are far deeper in the body than the clitoris could possibly reach. There's a type of orgasm I get that I call a "womb clench" orgasm where I'm really emotionally aroused by something and it's like deep in my lower belly, a clenching feeling that causes pleasure to bloom outwards in a wave of warmth. That's the same kind of pleasure that I get when being penetrated.
It doesn't feel similar to a clitoral orgasm except that they are both pleasurable. I've had tens of thousands of clitoral orgasms and thousands of "wombgasms" and they are different and both great.
Maybe don't ignore all the anecdotal evidence from women who have said that they have had cervical orgasms either?
The point is that the female body can feel a LOT of pleasure in many different ways. The clitoris is amazing and it does go deeper than we usually think but it's not the only way women can feel pleasure.
People who have had spinal cord injuries also report being able to orgasm in different parts of the body than they could before. Is it so surprising that the body is able to feel so much pleasure?
I understand this article was written to celebrate the clitoris, and trust me I fucking LOVE the clitoris. But there are other ways women can orgasm than clitoral stimulation. Some involve no touching at all. Some involve parts of the body that are up to 30cm away from the deepest parts of the clitoris.
Let's not limit women or deny their experiences in the name of "busting patriarchal myths" shall we?
