This is why I like Tantric Hinduism much more than other sects, because in Shaktism the female essence is supreme power, and perfectly balanced with supreme void/consciousness, Shiva.

As for female spiritual teachers, I don't believe that tantra could have developed if not a single woman was involved with it. I believe the Vijnana Bhairava tantra was co-written by a woman.

I think over the millennia, Hinduism became reified in the general population and corrupted by sexismb from society, but the core teachings are not sexist.
