This is why I like Tantric Hinduism much more than other sects, because in Shaktism the female essence is supreme power, and perfectly balanced with supreme void/consciousness, Shiva.
As for female spiritual teachers, I don't believe that tantra could have developed if not a single woman was involved with it. I believe the Vijnana Bhairava tantra was co-written by a woman.
I think over the millennia, Hinduism became reified in the general population and corrupted by sexismb from society, but the core teachings are not sexist. Indeed anyone who had ever experienced samadhi would realise that there is no separation in reality, the idea of one gender being superior to another is an illusion, Maya.
