This is a lovely idea! I want to create something a bit like this but not two separate dwellings, but definitely within the one dwelling having individual spaces where the individual can go without compromise or enmeshment, and then shared spaces.

I would have a conservatory/art studio as my space, with a LOT of greenery and beautiful art.

My husband would have a gaming room/workshop where he can keep all of his geeky anime stuff and also construct his cosplay and other projects without having to mess up the calm aesthetic of the shared space.

And the shared spaces are where both of our aesthetic sensibilities come together in compromise. <3

That's my dream home. We'll make it one day!
