There's also the fact that aesthetic attraction and real life attraction aren't always the same. Before I met my partner, I would have told you my "type" was Indian men with big dark eyes and longish hair.

My partner is a spiky haired Russian with small eyes. But he's the most attractive person ever to me.

That said, I still think Indian men are beautiful. But the aesthetic appreciation I have for dark skinned men with long hair and big eyes doesn't supersede all the other factors that go into real life attraction.
