The thing is no one is actually arguing, including Pete, for "no healthcare" and "for people to die" so that's a bad faith argument. There's this ridiculous assumption that the only way to have Medicare for all is to abolish private health insurance, for example, when that's absurd. In Australia, where I live, we have Medicare for All, and it's wonderful, and it wouldn't be as good as it is without the existence of private health insurance. Because our government taxes the rich more if they don't use private health insurance, thus incentivising them to keep the pressure off Medicare and leave Medicare for those who really need it.
No one I know wants people to die due to lack of healthcare. The problem is leftists seem to think if anyone disagrees with HOW to achieve a better healthcare system, they must be on the side of "people dying". Which is not true.
