The most healthy seniors I know are a couple from my ecstatic dance community who are in their mid-80s. The man is 86, the woman is 82, both of them still dance, I have danced with the man multiple times myself and he's strong enough to spin around with me using gravity to leverage us both.

They are the true meaning of the word "elders", highly respected for their spiritual wisdom, for their example of what it is to age joyfully and face impending death without fear, for their love they bestow upon everyone they meet. For their example of being deeply and passionately in love, as elders who have been together for 20 years.

They eat healthy, they are pretty fit given they dance multiple times a week, they have a huge circle of loved ones that they engage with constantly, and they have meaning and spirituality in their lives.

I want to be like them when I am old.

It saddens me to think I don't have much more time to spend with them, but oh I treasure it! I love them, more so than my own grandparents.
