The issue with criminalising "coercive control" is that I think it's incredibly vague and difficult to define in legislation or prosecute let alone prove, unless you have recordings of the person doing what they're doing as a pattern. I am not against it being criminalised in theory I just feel that there's almost no way to be able to properly prove beyond reasonable doubt that it's occurring in a court of law. And if you want to water down reasonable doubt then we have a different problem.
If you have an idea for actual legislation I would be interested in seeing it because like I say, I'm not against it being criminalised in theory.
