That’s one of the worst crimes I’ve heard of. Susan’s murder is absolutely horrific in and of itself — but the two sweet little boys… Seeing their little faces, how innocent and trusting they were, excited to see their daddy, and he killed them in a horrific painful way, and let them suffer before they died, because he was jealous and angry with them for telling the truth about “what happened to Mummy in the mine”. It makes me so sad and angry. Those poor darlings. Looking at Susan with her children, it’s so clear how much love there was and how happy they were with her. If only they could have escaped somewhere far away from Josh and Steven.

Also I think this is an example of how one abuser can create a chain of abuse through generations — Steven warped his son Josh to become an abuser just like him, and they both became monsters. And clearly his other son Michael, even if not a murderer, physical abuser or sexual abuser, was also a deeply warped and unethical man.

And the incompetence of the DSHS! They deserve to be sued to hell. They failed those children so much. The only one who tried to do the right thing was the woman who was supposed to supervise the visit with Josh the day he murdered his kids. Because she realised something was wrong and tried to get help to stop it. So sad.
