That's not what I'm talking about but OK. Funny you cherrypicked one phrase in my response and didn't respond to any of the examples of what I actually mean when I say "controversy".

I'm all for people "existing publicly as themselves" and being "openly, joyfully themselves". I support trans people's right to self identify, as with non binary people as well. I also support other diverse forms of identity as well. Diversity is great, we should celebrate uniqueness.

Don't see how that's "hateful or backward" of me but OK. :P
