Really, he’s talking about how the riots are now starting to overshadow the justified cause that started them. Burning police stations is one thing. Burning random people’s businesses is another. That doesn’t punish the bad cops it punishes innocent people and achieves nothing but smear the righteousness of the protests.

Have we forgotten also that there’s a fucking pandemic raging and the riots are spreading it causing more infections which will lead to more deaths?

And yes the police are stoking the fires, brutalising journalists and peaceful protesters and I have no doubt white supremacists are also working to amp up the violence.

Does that mean the riots are doing more good than bad? Doubtful. Before the riots even Fox News was condemning that murderer of George Floyd. Now Trump has the perfect narrative to claim “both sides are bad”, again.
