Ok so I read the first few paragraphs and you are not actually listening. I’m not antivax (I’m fully vaxxed) but your whole “antivaxxers think rules don’t work so no one should ever modify behaviour ever" and “antivaxxers want you to be nice to them so they can ignore you" thing is pure strawmanning.

That’s not the reason most people are antivax for COVID vaccines, at least regarding the people I know in real life who are antivax.

For one thing many who are called “antivax" are actually fine with vaccines in general, but have major concerns about the COVID vaccines and also the way the government is mandating them.

Lumping them together with the people who think measles vaccines cause autism is misleading.

Similarly conflating all people who are critical of any particular measure the government takes regarding COVID restrictions as also being “antivax" or “antimask" or “COVIDiots" is a way to silence any legitimate criticism of government overreach or media bias. For example I am fully vaxxed, and have complied with my government’s restrictions since the pandemic began. But some of the choices my government has made recently have no basis in science and are so heavy handed that they cause more harm than good.

But according to people like you, if I say this I’m an awful antimask antivax selfish person who wants old people to die.

That’s bullshit.

Pandering to tribalism to get claps and foster less empathy, less understanding, and more hate in the world — great job Jessica. You’ve really made the world a better place. 🙄
