Oh come on. This is the biggest load of rubbish.

The story is about a man learning to develop a relationship with a wild animal without interfering with its ability to be wild and its autonomy. The fact he learns and grows as a person as a result of this, and documents this as well, is a TRIBUTE to the animal, it's showing a conscious being (the octopus) respect. Because too many people DO think octopuses aren't smart, and eat them. The cynicism of this article does nothing to improve the world and all it does is make the world a little worse.

It's a beautiful documentary and the fact you're so upset is absolutely irrational.
