My mother was shamed because she couldn't breastfeed. She was told she failed as a parent because her breasts wouldn't produce enough milk and she had horrendous mastitis. She was told bottle feeding would stunt intellectual growth.
All of her kids are highly intelligent (I scored in the top 1.2% of the state in college entrance exams) and very healthy and tall.
Breast milk may provide some advantages but good parenting can promote high intelligence in many ways, and it's not failing your child to formula feed if you can't breastfeed.
