Most people’s problems about what happened with Pornhub was not that abuse content was removed, it was that Pornhub removed a ridiculous amount of perfectly innocuous stuff in a blanket removal, that it overall barely affected the amount of abuse and rape on the internet (because there is far far more on other sites including Facebook than there ever was on pornhub). Saying this doesn’t make me a rape apologist to say that what happened to Pornhub was not a solution to rape and abuse on the internet, but a high profile “fake win" that included a lot of moralistic conflation of normal porn with rape (because 99.99% of what PH removed was consensual), and didn’t actually help victims much at all.
