Mona Lisa, it's actually true that a lot of women have rape fantasies. It's the most common sexual fantasy for women actually. And it is a common trope in "bodice ripping" romance novels written by women for women for the woman to be "overpowered" by a man who is out of control with desire for her, and she somehow redeems him at the end. Hermes is not making that up.
However "rape fantasies" are not fantasies about actually being raped. I have rape fantasies. I don't want to get raped.
The fantasy is more a way that the brain tricks itself into not feeling guilt about engaging in sex. A lot of women grew up being shamed for having sexual desire or wanting sex. The only way they could think about having sex that didn't involve them being a sinful slut was if they were forced to have it (in a fantasy). That way they aren't "choosing to be a slut" but they get the sex anyway.
Again, this is just a FANTASY and not in any way about actual real life sexual assault which would be traumatic to anyone. It's also not saying women "actually enjoy real rape" or "really wanted it secretly" which again, is not true. Nobody wants to actually be raped.
And yet erotic fantasies about it are extremely prevalent in women. It's weird but it is what it is. Doesn't make the women who have such fantasies "supportive of rape" in real life.
