Me too! I was taught by my mother to be scared of walking alone anywhere, now I walk the streets at night, often at midnight or the wee hours. It's one of my favourite things to do. I have done it for years, and I've never encountered someone that made me feel scared of them. Granted, I am a tall woman who walks with a swift, confident stride. I think I exude confidence and strength and potential attackers are less likely to want to attack someone who they think is able to fight back and make their life difficult. I also live in a fairly safe neighbourhood.
