Literally no need to claim that Tony is "apologising for Nazis and it isn't cute" when that's the most bad faith interpretation of what he said and doesn't even make sense. I mean the characters he's defending all DIED in the movie long before the Nazis came to be.

The fact that some German soldiers who survived WWI ended up supporting Hitler, doesn't mean that the movie which depicts the horrors of war and is vehemently anti war, is pro Nazi, simply because some characters in it may have become Nazis 15 years later, if they survived. That's not a given in the context of the movie and that's not the focus of the movie and nothing is romanticised.

Also we can disagree without the passive aggressive "sweetie" and condescension. So if you want to disagree with me that's fine but I'd appreciate if you skip the faux sweetness. As you said yourself, it's "not cute". Nor is it condusive to civil or constructive discussion.
