What you're saying is projection.
You're misusing the word gaslighting too. Disagreeing with someone is not gaslighting.
I'm not denying that she feels that people would rather she doesn't exist. Her feelings are whatever they are.

I'm saying that her friends who diet are likely not wishing she would unalive herself or die or otherwise be wiped from existence. Which the rhetoric of "your disagreement is rooted in my fundamental right to exist" implies.
