Just because the gender pay gap will still exist on a statistical aggregate level, doesn't mean your niece will necessarily be paid less than a man herself. I am not paid less than a man, in my job. I'm actually paid more than my male colleagues, because I'm in corporate sales, and a top performer.

Teach your daughter to negotiate and speak up for her value in the workplace, and she's more than likely to get paid equally or better than men.
