It's totally fair that you set these boundaries and if other people don't respond well to them, it doesn't mean either of you are necessarily wrong, it just means that you're incompatible.

However I did want to draw attention to this line, because you actually are saying it's their fault. You're basically going:

"These people only liked me for what I could do for them, once I set boundaries their true colours showed, they were toxic and nasty and couldn't handle the real me".

That is saying it is their fault for not being evolved enough to handle the unmasked you that (shocked gasp) says no sometimes.
