It's so fascinating, I've been noticing this idea, this realisation, spreading recently as well. I work in an office, and almost a THIRD of our workforce independently came to this realisation themselves. Some via Buddhism, some via philosophy, some via psychedelics, some via quantum physics. I personally came to this realisation through philosophy and biology, thinking about consciousness and the evolution of life as we know it on earth from single celled organisms. So I came to this realisation logically, you might say. But then I also came to FEEL it via psychedelics, and now I can tap into that feeling sober as well. The feeling that underlies so many religious mystic traditions around the world, because it IS true, that everything is not just connected, but connected in consciousness, part of consciousness. Everything is aware, everything Is. The feeling of I Am which is the fundamental tenet of consciousness, which Descartes rightly said was the one irreducible fact that we can know, that I Am Conscious, even if "I" (the ego, the personality) is an illusion, the conscious part, that is undeniable. And from there, flows everything else.
