It can be though? Twerking is an inherently sexual dance move? And you can say "it's your fault for even thinking it could be sexual" but that's implying everyone who sees a child dancing the exact same way that an adult would be doing it sexually, as creepy, is a pedophile, because "it's their fault for even making it sexual in their own minds".

That's not the case though. Twerking, humping the floor etc, those dance moves are SUPPOSED TO BE SEXUAL when danced by adults. The fact that children may not understand this while dancing it, doesn't suddenly make the action itself beyond reproach?

You're making out that it's all the fault of adults for even thinking it's creepy, that anyone who sees sexualisation in the dancing is somehow a bad person, or a pedophile, because it's THEM that's "sexualising" the child in their minds. But that's just not true.

I believe you when you say the movie is more than what the outrage believes it to be, but I have seen clips from it of the kids literally humping the floor and twerking and it's extremely disturbing. Maybe that's the point.

And I remember what it was like to be 11. I didn't even know what sex was at that age. Kids bullied me and tricked me into saying sexual things I didn't understand in front of adults, to make me look stupid. I also remember loving the Michael Jackson song "Streetwalker" and I thought it literally meant "someone who likes walking on streets" and so I would play it loudly and sing along to it and I even called one of my Neopets "streetwalker" and when I look back I go "yikes" but I was innocent about it at the time.

So I'm not unaware of the nuance. But your point that "it's our fault for even thinking that a child could be sexualised, a child wearing skimpy knockoffs of adult clothing and dancing to dance moves that if an adult did it would be extremely sexual, if you think that child is being sexualised it's YOU that is sexualising the child in your mind you pervert" is what I have a problem with.
