I’m sorry but many borderline people DO have loving families, friends, significant others etc. That’s what is so tragic. We love the BPD person and they DON’T BELIEVE US and they CAN’T trust us even when we have given them NO REASON to distrust us. Your article implies that a BPD person mistrusting someone is because that person didn’t love them enough, that is BS, I have a mother with BPD and I loved her more than anything and she suddenly stopped trusting me, started believing crazy things about me, and nothing I can do will make her see the real me anymore. Likewise she did it to my dad who was the best husband to her. A person like that NEEDS therapy, love is NOT enough when the sick person can’t SEE or recognise the love being given to them.
