I’m glad that circumcision hasn’t negatively affected your sex life.

For a lot of men though, it has. My fiance was circumcised at 13 at the instruction of an abusive stepfather who wanted him to stop masturbating. It got infected, and was extremely painful for a year. Now that it’s healed, it still “works fine” but he does notice how it requires more lube, that it’s not as sensitive and therefore needs more pressure and friction.

Don’t get me wrong, he still feels great sexual pleasure. But he does feel that he was robbed of something. And the fact it was done to him for no medical reason but as a means to curb his adolescent sexuality without his consent is another reason he’s angry.

People shouldn’t assume people who are circumcised have “broken dicks” but at the same time, if circumcised men want to share their experiences with nonconsensual, medically unnecessary circumcision and how that has harmed them — then they should absolutely be able to do so.
