I'm a woman MJ. I have a "girl mind" too. I work in a male dominated field. I am a good looking woman who gets compliments on a daily basis from strangers but rarely gets catcalled. I don't feel inherently unsafe existing as a woman. In my field of work (corporate sales) I'm not treated with sexism in fact I'm treated very well.

It's ironic that you assume that because I disagreed with the article that I must be a man. When actually that's pretty sexist to assume all women have the same life experiences and the same opinions. It's pretty sexist to misgender someone who is literally called LADY Reverie on my blog and who has written articles for years where it's clear I'm a woman, for the crime of having a different opinion. For the crime of daring to push back on a claim that men as a WHOLE can't be trusted as friends??

I understand I have had better experiences with men than many women. That's a privilege, I get that. I'm not negating the shitty experiences you've had.

And I was a feminist activist for 6 years so I know the whole "it's not about all men so don't say Not All Men" argument. Except this article literally was about how the OP feels about ALL MEN. I was not responding to an article about specific men's misogyny with "not all men". Or an article about the patriarchy. I was responding to an article where the OP was literally saying Reddit incels and misogynist were making her distrust ALL MEN. Literally all men. Half of humanity.

My comment was justified and I stand by it.

While I sympathize with the misogyny you've experienced - your comment was sexist. Not only anti men in terms of your assumptions about the man you thought I was, but sexist to women as well, because it assumed that anyone who didn't agree with you MUST be a man, essentially that women are monolithic and can't have diverse experiences and opinions.
