I thought you were responding to my longer comment under Jamie's reply to me, which gave context for my point about my experience at school, and were calling it colourblind. That's why I responded in more detail.
If you didn't read that comment I can see my comment above must seem very random, sorry for making the assumption.
I actually wasn't disagreeing with the overall thrust of your article, and I don't think teaching kids about racism is incompatible with teaching kids to see each other as individuals, but more highlighting the part that I felt was really key given the anecdotes I've heard of some schools' application of CRT in a shaming way.
