I think you do apologise too much - like you assumed that you ruined the moviegoers' experience by asking them to pipe down, even though you didn't, and if they had felt bad that wasn't your fault?

Like why did you assume they thought you were an awful person?

Only apologise if you did something wrong or made a mistake. And in other cases say things like "I appreciate your time", "thank you for being considerate", "thank you for listening" etc.
