I think what would be great is a world where people just are attracted to PEOPLE as individuals, and can recognise that we all look unique, our race is a part of that yes but so are many other factors, and I feel like racism actually BLINDS people to people they would otherwise have let themselves be attracted to. I think exposure is a big thing. I went to a school where more than 90% of the students were Asian, and my university had about 50% of the cohort be either Asian-Australians or foreign students, mostly from China. Maybe that helps break through the "in-group conditioning" that makes you see different races as inherently "other". I don't say I'm "colourblind" but I certainly would say I now see Asian people as individuals first, race second. Whereas people with less exposure might have that feeling of "they look the same" which is racist yes, but also a psychological thing that apparently everyone initially feels seeing different groups, it's not just "white vs Asian" but my Chinese stepmother when she came to Australia thought all white people looked the same. Multiculturalism is so important!
