I think what could help your mental health is to stop doomscrolling. It's not virtuous to doomscroll. It's actually damaging to you. Focus on what is around you where you actually can make a difference.
One of the things I've realised is that you can't fix the world by a laser focus on what's wrong (yes awareness of what's wrong is important, to an extent, but you don't want to magnify it out of proportion). You instead magnify what's good. Create more of that. That also funnily enough, gets more people to help you, because people like to feel good, and so joining a cause that creates from a place of good feelings will always be more popular than a cause that seems determined to make everyone feel like shit about themselves and the state of the world.
