I support freedom and equality for all. I also oppose the death penalty for even the worst murderers. I believe that while it's UNDERSTANDABLE to want to kill your oppressor (and in some cases freedom cannot be achieved without killing), that if freedom can be secured without killing then that is the moral choice to minimise as much death as possible.

And as history has shown, it is not necessary to commit genocide in order to end slavery. In fact, committing genocide will invite reprisals and merely perpetuate the cycle of violence and hate ad-infinitum.

I don’t think that Jewish people should have killed all Germans in retaliation for the Holocaust either. Not even the children of camp guards.

And it's not necessary EVER EVER EVER to kill children. I don't care what your argument is. It's not ever a moral choice to kill a child. Even the child of a slaver. And saying that isn't a sign I don't care about black lives.

For fuck's sake. It's not OK to kill children. This is not a controversial statement. The fact I believe this isn't a sign I'm a white supremacist.

The fact YOU think it's OK to kill children is very worrying.

Final point: slavery still goes on, there are more slaves around the world today than ever before. It’s likely that the computer or phone you are writing on, has components in it that were created by slaves, or minerals that were mined by slaves. Slaves who may be black, or Asian, or indigenous, or South American. Slaves that are “owned” by white people, or other people of colour, in the service of megacorporations (many of which are owned by white people but some of which are not).

Do you deserve death for profiting off the labour of these slaves? If not doesn’t that make you a hypocrite? Does that mean you don’t actually care about these people’s lives?
