I personally suspect that animals are always in a flow state. Unless deeply traumatised.

At times, when walking amid nature, I consider whether animals, too, have mystical experiences. Are they carried away by flow states while nibbling grass in the meadow or scurrying through the trees? Do wild horses go to sleep each night dreaming of galloping with friends or visiting magical pasture…
