I mean, psychedelics are not physically addictive though. You can't "withdraw" from mushrooms or LSD. They also don't work if you take them more than once in a short space of time. You can take psychedelics too often, and they can definitely be dangerous, but they're not similar to cocaine or heroin or even marijuana.

Also psychedelics have traditionally been sacred medicine for indigenous people and much of the literature I read on them are to do with this aspect of it. So idk where the "white drug users" thing comes from, in my experience psychedelics are used pretty proportionately across racial lines. Cocaine is more stereotyped as a "white recreational drug", perhaps MDMA as well.

Psychedelics also have proven therapeutic potential.
