I have a friend who is like Clara's "platonic partner". He's a gay man, and we've been friends for 8 years. I love him more than anyone else, except for my partner. But I love him differently from my partner. He's my "sensate". Me in another life. We text every day. We have weekly movie sessions and phone calls. We get high on weed together and talk about nonduality and have mystical experiences together. We've gotten tattoos together that say in Elvish "Eternal Friend".

I have my partner, and he has his partner, and we have separate life goals and while we lived in Australia and visited constantly while we did, I now live in the States. But damn I will do everything I can to make sure this friendship doesn't fade. I love him so much. We feel like we have been this to each other in all our lifetimes. It's so beautiful. <3
