I had a friend who was like this. She and her partner ran an amateur porn channel (in the top 200 porn channels on PH). On camera their sex is loving, exquisite and deeply intimate. And yet. As I got to know them better I started realising just how abusive their relationship was off camera. They were deeply trauma bonded. The man was her affair partner, and she was always wanting to go back to her husband and kids, but couldn't for two main reasons. The sex was phenomenal (and it clearly was), and every time she tried to leave he would threaten suicide. So sad.
