I had a feeling! He's the most famous Mormon popular author, aside from Stephanie Meyer.
I'm not Mormon but I am a big fan of his, and I actually Googled how his religion influences his writing a while back, because I was surprised at how well he was able to write from the perspective of atheist characters or different religions. The Mistborn series being a great example of this. I thought it was fascinating that someone devout could write in such an empathetic way from the mindset of someone who is vehemently anti-religion, without it coming across as a strawman.
I have great respect for him as an author! The Stormlight Archives is one of my favourite fantasy series of all time. And of course he finished the Wheel of Time really well.
Speaking of Robert Jordan, those people getting mad at religious comments because it's like "asking about someone's sexual kink" probably enjoy the Wheel of Time when it's very clear how RJ had a spanking/femdom kink. I think all this is very interesting to know because it DOES show up in someone's writing if they write enough.
