I find this article to be a bit strange.

You say that it's bad for men to masturbate in their 40s every day, because it prevents their libido from decreasing "naturally" and you imply that the moral decision for the health of the marriage, is to stop masturbating daily so that you will only want to have sex 1-2 times a week.

But as a woman who masturbates pretty much daily, and has done so since I was about 14, orgasms are something that I greatly enjoy and add a lot of pleasure to my life. Asking me to stop doing it because "it would be better for the marriage" would be like asking me to give up one of the most enjoyable activities in my life. Why should I? Why should I accept a decreased libido as I get older, if I enjoy having a high libido? Why should I not continue to feel extreme pleasure at a frequency that I want?

I understand that if one partner doesn't want to have sex, you don't want to pressure them, but if your partner only wants to have sex once a week or less, and you want to orgasm every day, why shouldn't you masturbate?

In fact, for men, orgasming daily is a good way to keep the prostate healthy and stave off prostate cancer. Telling men not to masturbate is basically guilt tripping them into a higher cancer risk, and for what? Is it just that you are anti-porn? What if they masturbated with just mental fantasies, or written erotica? Would that make it better?

BTW here is the source regarding prostate cancer and ejaculation. Basically if males ejaculate 5-7 times a week, they have a 31-36% lower prostate cancer risk by the age of 70 than men who ejaculate only 1-2 times per week. That's a huge deal. Basically what you are advocating for (decreased ejaculation in men to 1-2 times a week) could lead to an increase in cancer risk of 30-40%.
