I don't think that anyone thinks of "disabled people" when they hear that "we disabled the feature on your software".
After all, the word disability means "lacking the ability to do (something specific)". Disabled people are disabled because their condition means they are unable or less able to do something/s specific related to body or cognitive functioning.
So disabling the feature on a software just means making it unable to do something specific. Doesn't have to be tied to human disability.
After all "inactive" could also be thought of as stigmatising people who are paralysed. But if you start going down that rabbit hole it will never end.
