I don't think so, because my point was about the author's uncharitable and frankly misleading portrayal of the Potts articles.
Whether the Potts articles are old, narrow and biased is irrelevant to my point, which was that Hermes mischaracterized them to an extreme degree and as a science writer he should know better.
In fact, I feel that he deliberately misinterpreted them for his own political agenda, because no fair reading of the study would have come away with the conclusion that the Potts articles said "male orgasm is bad, penetrative sex is bad, reproduction is bad".
