I don't know that surrender/acceptance means "having no boundaries and making no choices, just saying yes to everything". It could mean accepting what comes, regardless of your choices. Life puts all sorts of things in your way every day. You can't say yes to all of them as they are sometimes mutually exclusive. However despite your best efforts, things won't happen the way you plan. And I see "surrender" as meaning "accept this fact, and the present moment, rather than resisting it".
