I agree that we shouldn't focus on the gender identity of the shooter.

I would also say that we shouldn't do that when the shooter is a cis man, but unfortunately most leftists DO focus on "male violence" whenever there is a shooting.

If gender isn't relevant now (which I agree), gender shouldn't ever be relevant to the discussion.
