Honestly, I also feel very little about the Roe vs Wade decision. I know it's because I'm privileged to not have it affect me personally.

Intellectually I feel bad for the women affected and intellectually I support reversing it, enshrining abortion rights etc.

But does it evoke any real emotion in me? No.

Compassion fatigue? Maybe.

But I also don't HAVE to feel the anxiety and fear that other women fear simply because they do. I can support them and not take on their pain personally.

I have one life, and I don't know how long it will be, so I'm going to feel happy when I want to.

However women who DO care a lot and feel a lot about Roe vs Wade are allowed to do that and I won't invalidate them. I understand why they feel the way they do and it's very valid.
